This coil is chilled with dry ice and alcohol, dropping solvent temperatures to dewax inline. Fats and waxes are not soluble when solvent temperature is subzero, so chilling solvent on input is the simplest way to achieve high clarity extract. The Professional also comes with a removable bottom on the collection base. This makes removal of extract after the run as easy as possible. High pressure clamps give greater solvent compatibility, allowing propane to be used. Elite: The Elite series is our fully upgraded Orthrus model. The elite series adds a level of dependability needed for those seeking to produce the highest quality extracts. The elite series comes with all American instrumentation valves by SSP, an AVCO ultra-low temperature inline ball valve and jacketed collection base. TRS21 / BVV Upgraded Stainless Steel 2-Piece Piston and Rod Design for Hydrocarbon Extraction
BVV-1 Included in this kit: Complete connecting rod assemblies with 2-piece SS piston, piston seals, and viton o-rings. This upgrade kit can be used for the following recovery pumps: CPS TRS21 Anti-spark/explosion pump BVV 2 Cylinder Butane Recovery Pump ITS/ETL to ANSI/ISA Certified BVV 4 Cylinder Butane Recovery Pump ITS/ETL to ANSI/ISA Certified - Requires 2 kits because this unit has 4 cylinders. Looking to rebuild your TRS21 and want to upgrade to a more efficient and longer lasting piston/rod setup? This kit comes with a fully assembled connection rod and 2 piece piston. The piston is made out of SS making it a great choice for any application where bacterial growth must be eliminated. This design focuses on long life piston seal and wear band. This kit utilizes a Viton energized o-ring specifically designed for butane and or propane recovery used in the extraction process. By utilizing this kit the piston seal and wear band can be easily removed without having to disassemble the rod from crank. An inexpensive tool (*NOT INCLUDED* SKU: BVV-TL1) is required to rebuild the seals next time service is needed. The tool uses two posts to lock into the top of the piston and a 5/8” Hex heat to remove the top part of the piston. If you would like to purchase both the piston/rod assembly and tool it’s (SKU:BVV-K1). If the tool is not used the customer is responsible for all damage done to piston. After this has been done the wear ring can slide out and the piston seal can be replaced with a new one, the kit can be purchased for all future piston seal and wear band rebuilds (*NOT INCLUDED* SKU: BVV-3). Loctite 242 (*NOT INCLUDED) will also be required for proper installation. A test was performed between the OEM piston and seal design and the BVV. Results show that the BVV had a much less leak rate than the OEM design. After hours of use the leak rate of the OEM design was unable to recover the complete initial solvent batch. This affects the efficiency of the recovery process.

TRS21 Complete Connecting Rod Assembly Upgrade Kit
BVV-K1 Included in this kit: Complete connecting rod assemblies with 2-piece SS piston, piston seals, viton o-rings, and 2-piece piston tool. Looking to rebuild your TRS21 and want to upgrade to a more efficient and longer lasting piston/rod setup? This kit comes with a fully assembled connection rod and 2 piece piston. The piston is made out of SS making it a great choice for any application where bacterial growth must be eliminated. This design focuses on long life piston seal and wear band. This kit utilizes a Viton energized o-ring specifically designed for butane and or propane recovery used in the extraction process. By utilizing this kit the piston seal and wear band can be easily removed without having to disassemble the rod from crank. An inexpensive tool (*INCLUDED* SKU: BVV-TL1) is required to rebuild the seals next time service is needed. The tool uses two posts to lock into the top of the piston and a 5/8” Hex heat to remove the top part of the piston. After this has been done the wear ring can slide out and the piston seal can be replaced with a new one, the kit can be purchased for all future piston seal and wear band rebuilds (*NOT INCLUDED* SKU: BVV-3). Loctite 242 (*NOT INCLUDED*) will also be required for proper installation. A test was performed between the OEM piston and seal design and the BVV. Results show that the BVV had a much less leak rate than the OEM design. After hours of use the leak rate of the OEM design was unable to recover the complete initial solvent batch. This affects the efficiency of the recovery process.

Pro Series Vacuum Pump Oil Mist Filter Pro Series Vacuum Pump Oil Mist Filter allows the user to filter out any oil mist due to the vacuum process and will eliminate your work area from being contaminated with fine oil mist. An oil mist filter also captures the oil and lets it drain back into the vacuum pump after the pump is turned off and making the vacuum pump noticeably quieter during operation. The Oil Mist Filter also has KF25 High Vacuum end connections. There are 2 sizes of the oil mist filter for our Pro Series Vacuum Pumps, one fits the 5.6CFM and the other is interchangeable between the 11.3 and 21.2CFM sizes. A KF25 gasket and Clamp is included with every Pro series pump and can be purchased separately if needed. These oil mist filters can be used with any vacuum pump with KF25 connections. Rotary vane pumps work by having a rotor with two adjusting vanes continuously rotating and exhausting air or any other molecules in the occupied space. The four stages which a rotary vane pump undergo are shown below Single Stage vs Two Stage Vacuum Pump: BVV™ Pro Series pumps are a dual-stage rotary vane pump style. Dual-stage pumps have two rotors and two sets of vanes that work together to fully pull a medium vacuum (1st stage) and then pull a better vacuum (2nd stage). These pumps will evacuate more quickly and can pull a deeper vacuum when compared to single-stage pumps. What is Gas Ballast and how does it work? During the pumping process the vacuum pump is trying to evacuate gas present in the occupied space, both non-condensable and condensable gases and vapors. Gas ballast helps increase the percentage of non-condensable vapors such that it will allow for the pump to efficiently exhaust all gases and vapors. This in turn will increase the overall efficiency and pumps life. When the pump is being used with non-condensable gases it's safe to keep the gas ballast valve closed. MK-VI Bi-Directional Flow Closed Loop Reclamation Extraction System (System comes with 1 yr. limited warranty) Please Read Optional Upgrades Section for Clarification on System Upgrades The 8.5lb Bi-Directional rack has the same function as the stand alone biflow, but with the convenience of a rack mounting system. By using a bottom flood on the first wash to ensure all material has seen solvent, preventing channeling through the material. Finish the run with a top flood input to ensure all residuals have been washed from the material. Oil bearing solvent is collected in the collection base under the material column. Once collected, solvent is distilled and recovered, leaving the oils in the collection base. This is a passive unit that utilizes pressure differences created by manipulating temperature to move solvent. This unit can be upgraded into an Active recovery unit by purchasing the upgrade kit. TRS21 Active Closed Loop Recovery Kit Extractor Configurations: Explorer: Our standard Athena extractor model. Comes with a welded bottom base and standard LP tank. This model provides all the benefits of the bi-directional design without any bells and whistles. The Explorer model is perfect for those looking to process crude extract. Professional: This model features upgrades to help produce a higher quality extract. Solvent is entered into the system through an injection coil. This coil is chilled with dry ice and alcohol, dropping solvent temperatures to dewax inline. Fats and waxes are not soluble when solvent temperature is subzero, so chilling solvent on input is the simplest way to achieve high clarity extract. It features a larger bore on valves and hoses and a stainless steel LP tank. The Professional also comes with a removable bottom on the collection base. This makes removal of extract after the run as easy as possible. Elite: The Elite series is our fully upgraded Orthrus model. The elite series adds a level of dependability needed for those seeking to produce the highest quality extracts. The 10lb Active unit provides efficient extraction on a small footprint. Bi-directional flow helps maximize yield by preventing channeling. The 10lb system is capable of full dewaxing by utilizing both the evaporative cooling and an injection coil to keep material and solvent cold during the extraction process. Using the manifold on the collection base, all sections of the extractor can be recovered. The 10lb Active is equipped with a sucker pot, allowing easy removal of extract from the unit.
