    Tri-clamp/ Tri Clover Single Hinge Clamp BVV™ recommends tightening all Standard Pressure Clamps (Non-High Pressure) to finger tight and then use either a screwdriver or wrench to tighten them approximately 2 full turns to achieve the torque specified on the data sheet. BVV offers a comprehensive collection of tri-clamp parts, essential for building and maintaining sanitary extraction and processing systems. These components are primarily constructed from 304 or 316L stainless steel and are designed to create leak-proof, high-pressure seals using a combination of flanges, gaskets, and clamps.

Tri-Clamp Gaskets

Gaskets are the critical sealing element between two tri-clamp flanges. Choosing the right material is vital for chemical compatibility with your solvents.

  • The BVV Silicone Tri-Clamp Gaskets are ideal for alcohol-based extractions and winterization. They offer excellent temperature resistance and low extractables but should not be used with hydrocarbons like butane.

  • For hydrocarbon extraction (butane/propane), the Buna-N Tri-Clamp Gaskets are the preferred choice. They provide high chemical resistance to these solvents at a lower cost than Viton.

  • The BVV PTFE Envelope Tri-Clamp Gaskets feature a Viton filler for compressibility and a PTFE outer shell for extreme chemical resistance, making them a versatile premium option.

Clamps & Hardware

Clamps provide the mechanical force necessary to compress the gasket and secure the connection.

  • BVV High Pressure Clamps are designed for demanding applications, using a bolted design to withstand significantly higher pressures than standard hinged clamps.

  • For routine, non-critical connections, the BVV Tri-Clamp Single Hinge Clamp offers quick access for cleaning and inspection. It should be tightened to finger-tight plus two turns to avoid over-compressing the gasket.
