Tri-Clamp Sight Glass - Long These tall sight glasses are a great additions closed-loop extraction system to view the liquefied solvent flowing through your system and see the color before the purging process is completed. The short sight glass also allows the user to add a viewing port to their system without adding a lot of additional height compared to a normal Tri-Clamp sight glass. Unlike many competitors, this sight glass is also nitrogen tested for leaks at 100 PSI before it is sent to the customer to ensure safe operation of their extraction system. ***Note: Does not include clamp or gasket. This 304 stainless steel heat exchanger is used as a condenser for your extractor setup. It has a sleeve around the heat exchanging tubes and a wide opening at the top to allow users to pour in dry ice to super chill the exchanger. For best results, use dry ice mixed with ethanol to get the most possible contact across the surface area of the tubes. The bottom of the sleeve has a 1/4" NPT drain plug that can be removed to drain ethanol. Connection flanges on top and bottom are 4" Tri-Clamp. What is a Jacketed Reactor? A reactor is a vessel that contains a chemical reaction, which opens them up for a variety of applications in the chemical processing field. It’s used as a tool for many different processes related to extraction, winterization, distillation, and post-processing. A reactor can come in different sizes, shapes, and forms. It can even come in different materials including stainless steel or glass. In terms of cannabinoid processing, the most common use for a reactor is large-scale winterization. Here, a single or double jacketed reactor is ideal. This is because it allows you to circulate fluid around the exterior or interior jacket, chilling the mixture inside. As the mixture becomes colder, the fats and waxes within it begin to coagulate and fall out of the solution. Reactors can also be used for homogenizing mixtures or as stand-alone extraction vessels. The GD Series leveling caster profile is integral to its function. A thick aluminum frame is used to achieve the combination of being both strong and compact. The swivel section contains 2 sets of ball bearings for easy maneuverability. Bearing raceway sleeves made from hardened steel prevent scouring to the aluminum frame, leading to high performance and dependable reliability. Moving is easy thanks to a 50 mm diameter wheel mated with an axle shaft made of cold forged steel. And once positioned, the caster provides side access to an ABS thermoplastic thumbwheel used to lower the foot pad. As the wheel is lifted off the ground, the foot pad takes over to make the application completely stationary. Making the fine adjustments to achieve the perfect level set, even under heavy loads, is light work for this world renowned leveling caster. When it is time to move again, simply raise the foot pad to restore the freedom of mobility.
