Tri-Clamp Single Hinge Clamp
Tri-clamp/ Tri Clover Single Hinge Clamp BVV™ recommends tightening all Standard Pressure Clamps (Non-High Pressure) to finger tight and then use either a screwdriver or wrench to tighten them approximately 2 full turns to achieve the torque specified on the data sheet. All tightening should be accordance with the data sheet. It is not recommended to overtighten the clamp and bottom it out as this will cause the gasket to be over-compressed and put too much tension on the clamp threads, which could cause it to fail. Overtightening can also cause stretching on the clamp reducing its operational effectiveness. Molecular Sieve Beads Type 4A This bag contains both blue moisture indicating molecular sieve and also normal molecular sieve. The blue molecular sieve is a sodium alumina silicate molecular sieve impregnated with an inorganic metal salt moisture indicator. The desiccant will perform as a 4a molecular sieve plus with the additional ability to visually determine when the molecular sieve reaches saturation. When active, the molecular sieve beads are blue, as the beads reach saturation the color changes to beige indicating that the molecular sieve has reached equilibrium capacity and is in need of replacement. While the white molecular sieve is an alkali alumino-silicate in the spherical form. It is the sodium form of the Type A crystal structure with an effective pore opening of approximately 4A. It will adsorb molecules such as oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and straight chain hydrocarbons. Aromatics and branched chain hydrocarbons will not be absorbed. Single-stage vacuums pump exhaust into a chamber in the pump, which separates the oil from the pumped gas. Then, the oil is returned and the gas is exhausted. Stainless Steel LP Tank - Includes Gas and Liquid Fill/Drain Ports Stainless Steel LP tanks offer a superior way to decrease contamination of solvent and feature a tri-clamp lid with a high-pressure clamp. This allows easy access to the inside of the tank, making cleanout simple, unlike a normal carbon steel LP tanks. Tanks feature a safety collar to prevent damage to the valves, as well as a welded ring on the bottom to prevent damage to the tank body and allow better circulation of fluid around the entire tank. Lids come configured with 2 valves and compound gauge and polycarbonate sight glass on the larger #50 and #100 tanks. These tanks come with BVV 1/4" FNPT valves and 1/4" 37 Degree JIC Flares with one port being connected to a dip tube. ***Note: Tank comes empty and does not include solvent. Butane Capacity Calculation: All solvent tanks sold by Best Value Vacs have their capacity determined by this calculation and are based on industry-standard nomenclature of the water weight tank # system because the specific gravity of water is 1.000 and the DOT 80% fill guideline. (Excludes Cactus Juice™) If the consumer is using the pump for prolonged periods of time exceeding 5 minutes we require that a cold trap is used or the pump warranty is void. These stabilization resins have the ability to break down the internal components of the pump that are plastic resulting in a seized motor voiding all warranties. When evacuation exceeds 5 minutes these solvents begin to vaporize and then re-condense in the vacuum pump reservoir. Once enough solvent re-condenses in the pump displacing the oil the plastic internal components may begin to warp, melt or seize. The use of a cold trap will condense the vapors prior to making their way to the vacuum pump preventing pump damage due to excessive use. Furthermore, Minwax Wood Hardener™ is not to be used with any vacuum pumps, EVER. (A seized motor will result within the first use.) To prevent these issues from happening to your process, change the Oil after each vacuum pump use, Even if the use time is only 5min.
