Molecular Sieve Beads Type 13X 13X molecular sieve is a multiple purpose, highly porous, high capacity alkali metal alumino-silicate in the spherical form. It is the sodium form of the Type X crystal structure with pore diameters of approximately 10A. It can adsorb all molecules that can be adsorbed by 3A, 4A, and 5A molecular sieve. Type 13X molecular sieve can also adsorb molecules such as aromatics and branched-chain hydrocarbons, which have large critical diameters. The blue molecular sieve is a sodium alumina silicate molecular sieve impregnated with an inorganic metal salt moisture indicator. The desiccant will perform as a 4a molecular sieve plus with the additional ability to visually determine when the molecular sieve reaches saturation. When active, the molecular sieve beads are blue, as the beads reach saturation the color changes to beige indicating that the molecular sieve has reached equilibrium capacity and is in need of replacement. While the white molecular sieve is an alkali alumino-silicate in the spherical form. It is the sodium form of the Type A crystal structure with an effective pore opening of approximately 4A. Nitric Acid 64.6% Laboratory / Technical Grade *Excellent for gold refining Nitric Acid 64.6% (41° Baumé) (HNO3) is a highly corrosive mineral acid widely used in various industrial application. It is a clear to pale yellow in color and is a strong oxidizing agent known for its corrosive properties. It is commonly used in chemical manufacturing, metal processing, and as a laboratory reagent. This 64.6% Acid is in the high concentration range its slightly less azeotropic than 67% Nitric Acid which means it fumes less because the water and acid are not at the maximum boiling point. They are extremely close but the slightly small amount of extra water. You can achieve the reaction you are looking for it will fume less and take a little bit more time. Another note is that our sulfuric acid 93% can be used with nitric acid/water mixtures to help shift the azeotropic point to make highly concentrated fuming nitric acid. Nitric Acid plays a key role in refining gold, particularly in methods like aqua regia refining and in parting processes.
