By using a bottom flood on the first wash, you ensure all material has seen solvent. This method preventing channeling through the material. Finish the run with a top flood input to ensure all residuals have been washed from the material. Oil bearing solvent is collected in the collection base under the material column. Once collected, solvent is distilled and recovered, leaving the oils in the collection base. This is a passive unit that utilizes pressure differences created by manipulating temperature to move solvent. Extractor Configurations: Explorer: Our standard bi-directional extractor model. Comes with a welded bottom base and standard LP tank. This model provides all the benefits of the Orthrus design without any bells and whistles. BVV Neoprene Insulation Sleeve's Our Insulation sleeves are made from 3mm durable Neoprene Scuba Fabric and has a rated insulation value of R 1.5 These sleeves are 90% polyester and 10% spandex which makes all of these a snug fit around the spools. The material weighs in at 350 grams per square meter and has a smooth finish and a double stitched side seam. The sleeves can be easily cut with scissors and modified to add custom cutouts. The sleeves are also reversible and the inside color is black. Note: *Customers who order De-Wax or Fully Jacketed spool sleeves will not have pre-cut holes for the side ports. But fear not this material cuts very easily with sharp cutting tools, and you can easily add the small holes for these ports. If the tank PSI remains the same after a venting procedure then nitrogen is most likely still within the system. Recovery: Once the nitrogen has been successfully removed from the collection base proceed to vent the nitrogen from the empty recovery cylinder and pull the recovery cylinder and the associated lines under vacuum. With the nitrogen now removed from both the collection base and recovery cylinder you can now proceed with your recovery procedure Disconnect the nitrogen gas line and the butane line from the closed-loop system. Properly store the nitrogen gas cylinder and the recovery tank according to safety guidelines. Using nitrogen to inject butane into a closed-loop extraction system requires a solid understanding of the equipment, processes, and safety procedures involved.
