Closed Column Extractor Starter Kit
Complete Closed Column Extractor Kit BVV has bundled our recommended vacuum chamber, vacuum pump, and column extraction system to offer customers the most cost-effective solution possible. The Closed Column Extractor Kit is designed to pair well with the other products included in the extraction kit. The items in the kit cover every process from start to finish on your essential oil extraction (excluding butane) and is easy for beginner operators to use. The first step of the oil extraction process is to use the closed column extractor to extract the essential oils from the plant material into a pyrex dish. The user then transfers the oil with residual solvent into the two-gallon vacuum chamber; the digital heating pad is attached to the bottom of the chamber after setting the temperature. The V4D 4CFM 2 Stage vacuum pump exerts a high vacuum to purge and degass residual solvent or gases trapped inside the oil. (Note: This process may take up to 5 days.) Once the purging process is complete, the oil extraction can be used immediately or transformed into a variety of applications. This cold trap is made of 304SS MADE IN USA, utilizing Polycarbonate lids for durability, flexibility and chemical resistance to Ethanol and Isopropyl (not compatible with Acetone). This system is recommended to protect pump from condensable vapors. This trap comes with an industrial grade, heat cured silicone gasket designed only for our systems. There is nothing of equal quality in the market. The gasket itself is reversible (doubling the life of our system guaranteed) allowing customers to instantly take it off and flip it over. By using a bottom flood on the first wash to ensure all material has seen solvent, preventing channeling through the material. Finish the run with a top flood input to ensure all residuals have been washed from the material. Oil-bearing solvent is collected in the collection base under the material column. Once collected, the solvent is distilled and recovered, leaving the oils in the collection base. This is a passive unit that utilizes pressure differences created by manipulating temperature to move solvent. Extractor Configurations: Explorer: Our standard bi-directional extractor model. Comes with a welded bottom base and standard LP tank. This model provides all the benefits of the Orthrus design without any bells and whistles. These cold traps have 2 1/4" FNPT ports with one having a dip tube to the bottom of the trap to achieve higher vapor condensing rates with the 2" Diameter Center opening for the IP60. This Cold trap also has an insulating vacuum jacket around the entire container to maintain the subzero temperatures and help achieve the maximum minimal temperature of the IP60. Unlike many cold Traps on the market, this one is also made out of 304 Stainless steel and the internal parts are resistant to most chemicals and easily cleaned due to the Tri-Clamp lid design. Though there is a lack in temperature accuracy we measure at the extractor base a consistent recovery temperature around 122-125°F. These heater are built with an electrical failsafe that prevents them from operating dry, and will auto shut down if the flow is unexpectedly stopped to protect the unit. The attached in-line filter will prevent any debris from entering the heater. A clogged filter will also prevent the heater from operating. The unit does require two 240V 30A Single phase circuits, but its now a permanent fixture in or laboratory. The aim of the EVO series of extractors is to provide unparalleled utility and ease of use within a traditional stand-up design. The EVO series was designed to tackle the two most common plights with stand-up extractors, difficulty in extract harvesting, and integration of adsorbent filtration. The Evo series accomplishes both through the use of its elevated extract pour spout and its optional inline color remediation column. Beyond the elevated pour spout and optional inline color remediation column. The EVO series aims to provide unbridled safety and solvent recovery speed through the integration of ASME pressure relief valves on both the material column and collection base standard and full bore 1/2" recovery lines found on the professional, elite, and active explorer models. The 1lb EVO Closed Loop Extraction kit comes complete with a top fill injection manifold including a compound gauge, a 125 psi ASME pressure relief valve, and two full bore ball valves complete with 2x 1/4" Male JIC connections on the explorer and both 1/4" & 1/2" Male JIC connections on the professional and elite models.
