5L BVV™ Rotary Evaporator Beginner Setup includes all the necessary components to successfully perform solvent recovery via rotary evaporation. A cold trap should always be used inline between your vacuum system and application protect the pump from volatile vapors. The operator will have to provide ice or dry ice to cool the water in the water circulator bath, 2L of cubed ice or more every 10 minutes
The 5L BVV™ Rotary Evaporator is a tabletop model made for users who are looking for more capacity than the standard 2L but still need a smaller footprint compared to a 10L or 20L model. Designed with ease of use in mind, the 5L will separate solvents from mixtures with efficiency, and repeatable results making it the ideal rotovap for the majority of end users. With the ability to continuously fill and drain, users can quickly process gallons of solution. The double helix vertical condenser provides maximum surface area for condensation of vapors. PTFE seals on the entire system are made for maximum chemical resistance to ensure vacuum depth and lifespan of the system.
This kit also includes the BVV™ Water Circulation Vacuum Pump and this Circulation and Vacuum Pump combines the best of both worlds by using the circulating water to pull a vacuum which requires no oil at all and has very low maintenance requirements overall due to this unique process and design. Each vacuum port on the unit pulls vacuum separately from one another so the user can use it for different applications at the same time or combined to increase the vacuum. This pump will also circulate water through the backports as needed to cool and application and dissipate heat as needed.
