BVV offers the highest standard of drying ovens in the industry. Utilized in industrial and laboratory settings, our drying ovens meet a variety of demands including dry sterilization, evaporation, temperature testing, and batch processing. With its stainless steel, well-lit LED interior, these durable devices come standard with removable wire-frame shelves for easy cleaning. Above all, our drying ovens distribute uniform heat for powerful processing.
Streamline the delicate drying process. Shop our BVV collection of Vacuum Drying Ovens, Forced Air Drying Ovens, Oven Kits, Drying Oven Accessories, and Freeze Dryers.
Decarboxylation occurs at approximately 220 degrees Fahrenheit after around 30-45 minutes of exposure. Full decarboxylation may require more time to occur. That said, BVV’s line of Convection Drying Ovens do get hot enough for Decarboxylation. Shop the line here.
The power requirements for BVV ovens vary by type and capacity. For Convection Drying Ovens, they range between 1100W to 2450W; while Vacuum Drying Ovens power requirements range from 550W to 700W. See the “Product Descriptions” for specific power requirements and other information unique to our units.
Cold Traps condense all vapor within a chamber (except the permanent gases) into a liquid or solid. Because it “traps” these vapors, it prevents them from getting into your vacuum pump thus preventing contamination, resulting in a better end product. Cold traps are also used to capture terpenes that may have evaporated from an extract. BVV sells a variety of Cold Traps and their respective accessories here.
Oven capacity requirements vary widely for every production. To make it simpler, we created a method to assist in determining the best oven match for your operation, based on a few of the parameters of your extraction and of your desired purge. We based this formula on an expected extraction yield of 25%, with an extract-density of 1 g/in2. Using the following variables, this formula is designed to provide an estimate of your required shelving capacity:
Size = Extraction Batch Size (lbs)
Number = Runs per 24h Period
Purge = Your desired purging duration (hours)
Area Required (ft2) = [(Size) * (Number) * (Purge+1)] / 122Area Required (in2) = (Size) * (Number) * (Purge+1) * 1.18
